Yuewen Chen, Associate Investigator, Principal Investigator / PhD Supervisor. Yuewen Chen received his B.Sc. from Lanzhou University in 2005, his M.Sc. from Peking Union Medical College in 2009, and his Ph.D. from Jinan University in 2012 (joint Ph.D. program with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology).
His research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of cerebral cortex development, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for developmental brain disorders.

He serves as Principal Investigator for the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the General Program of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province.As a core member, he has participated in multiple national, provincial and ministerial research programs, including the National Key R&D Program of China, the NSFC–Hong Kong RGC Joint Research Scheme, the Guangdong Key Fields R&D Program, and the Guangdong–Shenzhen Joint Fund Team Project.
