Introducation

Hayatte-Dounia MIR is a 3rd-year PhD student at the National Institute of Agronomical Research (INRA) in France. She graduated from the University Pierre et Marie-Curie (Paris) with a Master’s degree in Cognitive and Behavioural Neurosciences. After short experiences in the fields of neurodegenerative diseases at Cambridge University (UK) and Autism Spectrum Disorders at Ecole Normale Supérieure (France) during her master, she decided to pursue with a PhD project focused on the gut microbiota-brain-interactions related to depression and anxiety, using behavioral, biochemical and molecular approaches on conventional and gnotobiotic mice models.
