IntroducationDr. Xu received her PhD degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her researches focused on brain cognition in the awake monkeys. In 2017 She Joined prof. Huihui Zhou's team at SIAT, where she focused on neural mechanism of selective visual attention in cortical area V4/V1 in awake primates. Using two-photon imaging and behavioral approaches, her research aims at:
1) To understand the neuronal mechanisms underlying visual selective attention.
2) To investigate the three-dimensional distribution and functional connections between neurons in visual cortex during visual attention.
3) To investigate the response pattern and the real-time dynamics of population neurons in visual cortex during visual selective attention by two-photon imaging.
